The Hindu University of America commemorates the e poch-making punar-uddharana ceremony of the Ram Lala Mandir at Ayodhya wit h the release of a music video ‘Ayodhya – A Cultural Renaissance’ as a spe cial tribute to the occasion.
his music video is composed and produc ed by Dr Kanniks Kannikeswaran\, a faculty at HUA. The video weaves a 21st century multimedia-digital portrait of Ram using elements of Indian Class ical music\, Sanskrit Lyrics and powerful imagery. Earlier in 2022\, Dr Ka nniks had created the highly acclaimed work ‘Raag Darshan’ a portrait of I ndia in 75 Ragas.
Something big is happening in Bharat after 500 lon g years. Common sense says that it should have happened much earlier: late st in 1947\, when India was partitioned on religious lines and Indians who had converted to Islam got Pakistan. Prof. Ved Nanda ji served as Chairman of the Board of the Hindu University of America from January 2019\, for almost five years\, a nd played a critical guiding role…
At Hindu University of America we ha ve assembled some of the best scholar-practitioners\, who have spent years \, sometimes decades\, studying and specializing in various aspects of San atana Dharma. Our Graduate faculty who teach at the Master’s and Doctoral programs all have a PhD. and have published extensively. Our Continuing Ed ucation faculty minimally have a deep immersion in the living traditions o f Hinduism. Many of them also have Doctoral Degrees.
