Faculty - Prof. N. V. Chandrasekhara Swamy
Professor Swamy is an educational adviser to sVYASA, Bangalore and holds Master and Ph.D. degrees from IISC, Bangalore. Professor Swamy has taught a variety of courses in the field of Yoga, Hindu Religion, Philosophy and Culture. Topics include: life of Swami Vivekananda, Yoga, Vedanta, four Yogas of the Gītā, Upaniṣhads and Indian culture to students at VKYOGAS and IISC. He is a reviewer of Yoga and Vedanta related books for “Vedanta Kesari”, Śrī Rama Kriṣhṇa Math, Chennai.
He was the director and a dean of the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. Professor Swamy has about 100 research papers published in research journals and conference proceedings. 8 students completed Ph.D. and 5 M.S. theses at IIT Madras under his guidance. He worked on 5 projects for the Ministry of Non97 conventional Energy Sources, Govt. of India from 1978-1995. He is an Honorary Fellow of the ‘Indian Academy of Engineering.’ Professor Swamy has widely traveled. He has been a Research fellow at the Aerodynamic Research Institute, Gottingen, Germany, and a Visiting Professor at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany.
