Faculty - Prof. Laura Douglass

Laura Douglass holds a Master’s Degree from Lesley University (Cambridge, Massachusetts) with a specialization in Yoga Psychology. She graduated from Dr. Vasant Lad’s Ayurvedic Institute in 1998, and has been teaching Yoga in the Integral tradition since 1996. She is certified in Prenatal, Postnatal, Yoga for the Special Child, and Advanced Hatha Yoga and Meditation. She is dedicated to sharing the psychological wisdom behind the teachings of yoga with a wider audience. She maintains the website www.yogapsychology.org, and is a frequent contributor to Integral Yoga Magazine, and other publications as a way to assist in this outreach. Laura Douglass is currently teaching Yoga to individuals with eating disorders at an in-patient program, assisting mental health professionals integrate Yogic and Ayurvedic wisdom into their healing practices, and maintains a private practice.
