Faculty - Prof. C. L. Prabhakar
Dr. C. L. Prabhakar, M. A. and Ph. D. on Yajurveda also passed the Oriental title exam “ Sanskrit kovida” with Jyotish and Dharma Shashtra specialties. He has been Prof. of Sanskrit and Head of the Dept. of Sanskrit, National College Jayanagar, Banglore. Dr. Prabhakar has taught a large variety of undergraduate and graduate students and right from 1965 has remained involved in research activities. He was research scholar in CASS, Poona University and has been an awardee of the National Associateship by UGC for 5 years (1975-80). Professor Prabhakar has guided students for Ph. D. His more than 300 papers were published in various research journals, souvenirs, magazines and felicitation volumes. Dr. Prabhakar received several honors from established religious and educational institutions. He is editor of “Vedaganga”, “Nada Veda Sarit” and Souvenir of Waves 5th India Conference. Presently he is working on Religion and Philosophy of Yajurveda - a comparison of Taittriya and Madhyadina samhitas of Yajurveda. He has presented a number of papers in All India and International conferences. Some of the papers are - “ Crisis Management in Ramayana”, “Poetry of Yajurveda”, “Contents and significance of Atharvaveda” and “Culture and Civilization-A Yajurveda view”.
