Poorna sannyas is the ultimate initiation given into a life of complete freedom. It is entering into a new world, the world of the no-ego. The ordinary world is nothing but an ego trip. Sannyas is dropping out of the ego trips and, turning inwards to realize one’s true Self.
Liberated from the bondages of society and conditionings, sannyas is the flowering of the Ultimate. It is the complete trust in Existence and in oneself as a unique part of the Divine.
Whether a brahmachari or a vanaprasthi, both lead towards, work towards poorna sannyas. The uniqueness of the poorna sannyas initiation is that it is the initiation that a Master gives. The brahmacharya or vanaprasthi initiation is taken from the feet of the Master but the poorna sannyas initiation is gifted by the Master.
