He is currently the Vice-chancellor of Kavikulaguru Kalidasa Samskrit University at Ramtek, Maharashtra. Previously he has served as the Dean, Śāstra Faculty and Director of Research and PG studies in Karnataka Samskrita University, Bengaluru. Formerly he was Director of Sanskrit Academy, a Research Institute funded by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Osmania University, Hyderabad.
He was educated in Vedic śāstras in the traditional gurukula system and he completed his doctoral research in Nyāya-śāstra and computational linguistics. His dynamism in academic scholarship as well as in administrative capacities is noteworthy.
He has held significant positions in Samskrita-Bharati for several years. There are several papers, books, articles, and projects to his credit and he has guided many research scholars in M. Phil. and Ph.D. in the subjects of Nyāya, Vedānta and Computational Linguistics.
He received the Maharshi Badarayan Vyas Samman – an award given by the President of India, in 2008 and Swami Chinmayananda Gold medal in 2013. He adorns the Board of Studies at Maharashtra Institute of Technology, School of Vedic Sciences (MIT SVS) and is a mentor.View our whole team
