Beginning Shuddh Hindi – Sentences & Comprehension

This course is the third part of the program-Certificate Program in Shuddh Hindi- Beginner Phase. We strongly recommend registering for the complete program consisting of 4 quarters. The fee for all 4 quarters if paid together is $900 in contrast to $1200 if paid quarter by quarter. (25% off of the complete fee) (Excludes shipping and handling of textbooks)

Description

Beginning Shuddh Hindi – Sentences & Comprehension Learning Objectives:

  1. Build a vocabulary of at least 750 words in Hindi (nouns, pronouns, and verbs)
  2. Using case endings
  3. Using different tenses
  4. Comprehend and recite simple verses.
  5. Engage in simple conversations.
  6. Write short essays.

Course Contents:

  1. Use of “ke” to denote location
  2. Object case: Use of “ko”
  3. Instrumental case: Use of “se”
  4. Dative case: Use of “ke liye”
  5. Simple past tense: Use of “thA”, “the”, “thii”, “thiiM
  6. Use of simple past tense “sAmAnya-bhUt-kAl” for masculine, deminine words in both singular and plural
  7. Use of present continuous tense “ tAtkAlika-vartamAna-kAl”
  8. Use of past continuous tense “apUrNa-bhUt-kAl”
  9. Use of “rahA”, “rahe”, “rahii”
  10. Simple verses
  11. Parts of the body
  12. Simple conversations
  13. Use of Present Perfect tense – “Asanna-bhUt-kAl”
  14. Use of Past Perfect tense “pUrNa-bhUt-kAl”
  15. Short essays and translations
