Course Description

HSF2303 – This 11-week quarter “BG3: Cosmic Vision and Infinite Self” propels participants into the metaphysical splendor of Chapters 10–14, exploring vibhūti (divine glories), viśvarūpa (the inspiring universal form), ideal devotion, and the profound distinction between kṣetra(field) and kṣetrajña(knower).  Philosophically, it emphasizes oneness amid diversity, virtues as pathways to liberation, and the tri-guṇas as archetypal forces shaping reality. Psychologically, it cultivates insight, humility, and meta-cognition. With an analytical lens, the course reveals: the cosmic vision isn't mere spectacle but a therapeutic confrontation with infinity. It promotes dissolving ego-bound identities for authentic self-leadership equipped with viveka leading to pūrṇatva (infinity).

  • Explain the philosophical unity in divine manifestations and describe how viśvarūpa darśana evokes humility and ego dissolution. Perceive divinity in everyday excellence reframing leadership as stewardship of cosmic divinity (Chapter 10-11).
  • Apply ideal devotee qualities to leadership contexts, channeling attachments into higher love and selfless service (seva) through practical self-observation exercises.(Chapter 12)
  • Understand kṣetra-kṣetrajña discrimination, observe the “field” of life without entanglement, turning self-awareness into a tool for liberation (Chapter 13).
  • Understand the guṇas to trace their role in bondage vs. liberation, and compare to Jungian shadows or Big Five traits for deeper self-insight (Chapter 14).
  • Evaluate the path to knowledge (jñeya), as a means to dissolve identity crises, fostering psychological clarity over layers of ego-driven existence (Chapter 13).
