Partners
HUA has three kinds of Institutional partnerships – Subsidiaries, Alliances and Affiliations. HUA’s subsidiaries are wholly owned and governed by HUA’s Board of Trustees. HUA’s alliances are independent organizations which offer curricula, teaching materials and/or faculty, and augment and enhance HUA’s curricular offerings. HUA’s affiliates benefit from HUA’s programs and offerings, and function as additional channels through which HUA reaches out to the American Hindu community facilitating new students to enter the HUA family.
Subsidiaries
California College of Ayurveda (CCA) is a subsidiary of HUA and is based in Nevada city, California. CCA is one of the oldest and well respected institutions engaged in the teaching of Ayurveda in the West. CCA became a part of the HUA family in August 2024. It offers Professional Certification Programs in Ayurveda and Integrative Health. CCA’s programs are designed to train practitioners of ayurveda, a mode of healing and medical practice born of Vedic Hindu thought and developed in ancient India. The merger of CCA with HUA expands the range and depth of Professional Certification Programs in Ayurveda at HUA.
Alliances
MIT-IIKS is an alliance partner of HUA and is based in Pune – Maharashtra, India. Institute of Indic Knowledge Studies (IIKS) is part of MIT Group of Institutions under the aegis of the Maharashtra Academy of Engineering & Education Research (MAEER) Trust established in 1983 in Pune Maharashtra. MAEER is a well-known educational trust with 71 Institutions delivering Kindergarten through Postgraduate education. IIKS brings a well developed and unique curriculum in Sanskrit at the graduate level offered by exceptional scholars who are both traditionally trained and have a PhD in Sanskrit. Through this partnership, HUA offers the Master of Arts in Sanskrit program internationally.
Samskrita Bharati USA, an alliance partner of HUA with its head office in Santa Clara, California, is a non-profit organization committed to reviving Saṃskṛtam as a living, spoken language by making it accessible and relevant beyond its classical veneration. The Sanskrit Language is foundational to the study of Hinduism as the vast heritage of Vedic Hindu scriptural and literary texts is in this classical language. Aligned with HUA’s mission of advancing Hindu knowledge systems in a modern academic context, Samskrita Bharati USA contributes curriculum guidance, learning materials, and collaborates with HUA in promoting the Sanskrit language in general and HUA’s sanskrit programs.
The Sanskrit Library, an alliance partner of HUA, is a non-profit organization, based in Rhode Island, USA. It enhances access to India’s cultural heritage through a digital platform supporting Sanskrit education and research through digitized texts, manuscript images, lexical databases, and advanced computational tools to explore Sanskrit literature spanning over three millennia. Through global collaboration with leading scholars in Sanskrit, linguistics, and computer science, it stands at the forefront of Sanskrit digital humanities. The Library also offers online courses in Sanskrit language, literature, and digital tools. Through this partnership, HUA makes the Sanskrit Library’s innovative research tools, resources and scholarship available to its graduate students.
Yoga Bharati is an alliance partner of HUA, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, dedicated to promoting holistic health and well-being through authentic, evidence-based Yoga. Rooted in the principles of Sage Patanjali and inspired by Swami Vivekananda, Yoga Bharati offers Yoga Teacher Training, Therapy programs, and community outreach through classes, workshops, and retreats. Guided by the motto “Yogaḥ karmasu kauśalam” (Yoga is skill in action), it emphasizes the development of focus, balance, and inner harmony. Through this partnership, HUA and Yoga Bharati collaboratively offer online and in-person courses, workshops and retreats, expanding access to traditional Yogic wisdom across North America.
Bharath Gyan, is a Chennai, India based alliance partner of HUA, led by the distinguished husband-wife duo, Dr. D.K. Hari and Dr. D.K. Hema Hari. Pioneers in Indian Civilization Knowledge Studies for over 25 years, they have systematically collated, curated, and presented India’s civilizational narratives from an Indic perspective across 108+ interdisciplinary subjects. Through books, films, and lectures, they illuminate the twinned spiritual and scientific heritage of India and its relevance for contemporary society. As visiting faculty at HUA, they offer the Certificate Program in Hindu Civilizational Studies, advancing HUA’s mission to preserve and promote the knowledge systems based on Hindu thought globally.
Ritambhara, based in Kotagiri, Tamil Nadu, is a community of sacred activists committed to restoring Bhāratiya wisdom traditions through the praxis of Yoga and Inner Work since 2016. As an alliance partner of HUA, Ritambhara offers The Yoga of Mahabharata—a transformative course led by Āchārya Shri Raghu Ananthanarayan. Rooted in Antaranga Yoga, this course uses the Mahābhārata as a reflective mirror to uncover inner patterns and deepen self-awareness. Students engage experientially with its archetypes to awaken insight, cultivate sakhi and sākṣī bhāva, and experience Yoga as an integrative path toward healing, consciousness, and harmony—far beyond posture or breathwork.
Affiliations
Sangeeta Bharati America is an affiliate of HUA, rooted in Sanātana Dharma and dedicated to the practice and promotion of Nāda-brahma-upāsanā—the worship of the Divine through sound. Based in Texas and entirely volunteer-run, Sangeeta Bharati preserves and shares the sacred tradition of Bhāratīya Śāstrīya Saṅgīta (Indian classical music and dance) as a spiritual and cultural discipline. Drawing from the Vedas and the Śāstra-s, this tradition reveres sound (nāda) as both medium and message of the Divine. As an affiliate, Sangeeta Bharati supports and promotes HUA’s programs aligned with its mission, helping to nurture appreciation for the spiritual depth of Indian Knowledge Systems.
The Hindu Society of Minnesota (HSMN), established in 1978, is a nonprofit organization serving the religious, cultural, and educational needs of the Hindu community in the Twin Cities. Located in Maple Grove, MN, its temple hosts 21 deities and is sustained by generous donors and volunteers. As an affiliate of HUA, HSMN hosts the annual Bhagavad Gita Pariksha, a scripture-based quiz for youth conducted by HUA. HUA offers tailored programs like Growing Up With Gita, designed to prepare participants for the pariksha, and deepens their understanding of Hindu philosophy—strengthening HSMN’s mission to preserve and share Sanātana Dharma with future generations.
The Sri Venkateswara Temple in Bridgewater, New Jersey, established by the Hindu Temple and Cultural Society of USA Inc. (HTCS), is renowned as one of the largest and most exquisite traditional stone temples outside India. Inaugurated in 1998 and spanning 11,000 square feet, it serves as a vibrant spiritual and cultural hub for the Hindu community. As an Affiliate of Hindu University of America (HUA), the temple actively promotes HUA’s educational programs and initiatives within its community, supporting the shared mission of preserving and transmitting Sanātana Dharma through learning, engagement, and cultural continuity.
