An Analysis of Operation Sindoor
through the Lens of Chanakya's Arthashastra
Recent Webinar: Sunday, July 27, 2025, 9 am PT / 12 pm ET / 9:30 pm IST
About the Webinar:
The ancient Indian strategist and philosopher Chanakya (Kautilya) laid out timeless principles of statecraft, diplomacy, intelligence, and warfare in his seminal treatise, the Arthashastra. How do these principles hold up in the modern world of military operations, national security, and strategic decision-making?
In this thought provoking webinar, HUA President Kalyan Viswanathan and Shri Abhijit Deshpande will examine Operation Sindoor — a significant contemporary military and intelligence operation — through the analytical framework provided by Chanakya’s Arthashastra. Participants will gain insight into how ancient doctrines of power, alliance-building, calculated risk, and open warfare can be applied to understand the success of Operation Sindoor.
Who Should Attend:
Students of history and political science, military enthusiasts, strategy professionals, and anyone interested in the fusion of ancient wisdom with contemporary affairs.
Join us for a deep dive into how timeless principles of governance and strategy can shed light on one of the most intriguing operations of our time.

Distinguishing Varna and Jati from Caste
HSF4000 – The Caste System invites both persistent international discourse as well as relentless intervention. This discourse misinforms, embarrasses, and shames the Hindu community worldwide, in as much as it energizes and activates the social justice warriors and reformers of the day. This course, Distinguishing Varna and Jati from Caste, is designed to provide some light, where heat is more prominently present. It provides a searching examination of how the Caste System as it has come to be known today was constructed and established as an essential aspect of Hinduism. This course is designed to assess, challenge, clarify, demystify, and transform.
