Students who wish to prepare for the competition and improve their chances of winning a prize are invited to register for the course – Growing up with the Gītā.
The Bhagavad Gītā Pariksha is an enlightening competition series that engages participants in deep discussions on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gītā, testing their understanding and application of its timeless wisdom. The Pariksha celebrates intellectual brilliance while fostering a sense of community and collective growth among participants, parents, and teachers. This ongoing initiative not only promotes Sanatana Dharma but also strengthens unity through meaningful discourse on spirituality and philosophy. Competition’s Format
To join the national Gītā Parīkśā Community & host a parīkśā at your local temple, follow the format given below.
The Bhagavad Gītā Pariksha will be conducted in two parts.
a) The first part will consist of a multiple choice exam with 50 questions.
b) The second part will consist of an in-person oral exam.
c) Shortlisted students who have performed well on the first part will be invited for an oral exam.
d) The Oral exam will be conducted at the same facility shown above – Date of exam – TBD.

Cash Prizes worth $5,000 will be awarded to the winning students of the Gita Pariksha.

‘Growing up with the Gita’ is like a guiding light for teenagers and young adults, helping them tackle those big questions about who they are and where they’re headed. It’s a chance to dive deep into the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita, kind of like a roadmap for life. This course isn’t just about passing a test; it’s about discovering your inner strength, finding your place in the world, and learning how to bounce back from tough times.

(Morrisville, NC) – On August 24th, Fifty-One (51) students from North Carolina, mostly from the Triangle Area participated in this year’s Bhagavad Gītā Pariksha (BGP) competition. Over 200 members of the community attended to cheer the students and a $10,000 prize pool was awarded to the winners who showed exemplary knowledge and understanding of the Bhagavad Gītā.

The Inaugural Gītā Pariksha November 18 2023, North Carolina in Morrisville, NC, organized by the Hindu University of America (HUA) in collaboration with local Hindu organizations, celebrated the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gītā and community unity. Over 50 students demonstrated their understanding of the Gītā through written exams and discussions, with winners awarded $25,000 in prizes. The competition laid the groundwork for future initiatives, reinforcing HUA's commitment to promoting the study of the Bhagavad Gītā and fostering unity among participants.
