Smt. Parvathi Sriram
Smt. Parvathi Sriram is a valued faculty member at Hindu University of America (HUA), focusing on Sanskrit Studies. Since 2018, she has been teaching Sanskrit with dedication, while also serving as a long-time instructor at Arsha Vidya Bharati, where she guides students of various ages. At HUA, Parvathi contributes to the Sanskrit Certificate Program and Micro-Certificate in Spoken Saṃskṛtam, with skills in Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Moodle, curriculum design, and Sanskrit assessment.

Beginning Sanskrit – I
SAN0101 – (CPSP – Required Course) The First Quarter of the Beginner Phase of the Certificate Program in Sanskrit Proficiency, develops students without any prior knowledge of Saṃskṛtam, in the skills of listening, reading, and writing Saṃskṛtam in Devanāgarī script. At the end of this course, students will develop the ability to pronounce and write single, combination and conjunct Devanāgarī letters, build basic vocabulary, and recite a few simple Saṃskṛtam verses with the correct pronunciation.
This course Beginning Sanskrit assumes no prior knowledge of Saṃskṛtam script or language. The medium of instruction is English, and the course is easily accessible to a global audience.
