Recent Webinar: Thursday, October 2, 2025, 6:00 pm PT / 9:00 pm ET / 6:30 am IST (Oct 3)
About the Webinar:
Have you ever wondered how the ancient seers of India looked to the heavens, not only to track time and seasons, but also to uncover the deeper rhythms of the cosmos? The wisdom of Hindu astronomy, preserved for millennia in texts and practices, continues to inspire awe and wonder today.
In this introductory webinar, participants will meet the distinguished faculty of the Hindu Astronomy Retreat – Dr. Raj Vedam, Dr. Aditya Togi, and Vidushi Eve Mendoza – who will share insights into this extraordinary tradition. Together, they will introduce you to the principles and practices of ancient Indian astronomy, from the precise calculations of planetary motion to the illuminating framework of Jyotiṣa-śāstra. You will also glimpse how these timeless ideas connect seamlessly with modern tools such as telescopes, binoculars, and astrophotography.
Most importantly, this session will offer a preview of what awaits at the upcoming retreat in December: nights under starry skies, guided observations of Nakṣatras, planets, galaxies, and nebulae, and the chance to deepen your learning in a rare and unforgettable environment. Join us for the webinar, ask your questions, and see why this retreat is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the union of ancient wisdom and cosmic exploration.
