HUA offers graduate programs including the Master of Arts in Hindu Studies (MAHS), Master of Arts in Sanskrit (MAS), and the Doctor of Hindu Studies (DHS). Each program is designed for different academic and professional goals. If you are interested in Sanskrit proficiency and in-depth study of texts, the MAS is a great option. If your focus is broader in Hindu philosophy and applied studies, the MAHS or DHS may be better suited to your goals.
HUA is a fully online institution, allowing students to access their studies from anywhere in the world. The flexibility of online learning makes it convenient for students with varying schedules.

The MAHS and MAS programs typically take two years for full-time students. Students may study part-time, taking a minimum of 2 courses per semester; The MAHS must be completed within 4 years. The DHS program length varies based on individual research and credit requirements. The DHS must be completed within 8 years.
HUA seeks graduate students with a passion for Hindu studies, a solid academic background, and a commitment to personal and scholarly growth. Applicants to the MA programs need an undergraduate degree, while DHS applicants should hold a master’s degree in Hindu Studies or a related field.
Once your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the admissions commitee. Decisions are released two months after the application deadline – March 1 for fall and October 1 for spring.
Interviews are not typically required but may be requested in certain cases, particularly for the DHS program.
