Dr. R. Guruprasath holds a Ph.D. in Sanskrit from the University of Madras, with doctoral research on the Bhāvapradīpa commentary of Śabdakaustubha, a seminal text in Vyākaraṇa. He currently serves as Scholar, IKS Courses and Course Development Team member at Siddhanta Knowledge Foundation, Chennai, contributing to curriculum design, academic content development, and pedagogy in Indian Knowledge Systems.
A specialist in Vyākaraṇa and śāstraic learning, Dr. Guruprasath combines rigorous classical training with contemporary academic engagement. He received traditional instruction in Ṛgveda chanting under Śrī Sanjeevi Ganapathi, retired Vedic scholar of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, and studied Vyākaraṇa for the Tenali Śāstra Parīkṣā under Brahmaśrī Vaithi Subramaniam at the Central University of Himachal Pradesh. He also holds the title Vyākaraṇa Viśārada from The Madras Sanskrit College, Mylapore.
Dr. Guruprasath has served as Visiting Faculty at MAEER’s Institute of Indic Knowledge Studies (MIT Group, Pune), the University of Madras, and Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda College, Chennai. Alongside institutional teaching, he has been actively engaged in traditional gurukula education at Trayi Vidya Gurukulam and other Veda Pāṭhaśālās, contributing to the preservation and transmission of classical Sanskrit learning.
