Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai is a distinguished scholar, author, and leadership mentor with extensive expertise spanning philosophy, management, and applied leadership. He holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Philosophy, University of Mumbai, where he conducted pioneering research on Kautilya’s Arthashastra, the 4th-century BCE treatise on governance, economics, and strategy.
Dr. Pillai combines traditional wisdom with contemporary management principles, training leaders and professionals across corporate, political, academic, and military sectors. A certified management consultant from the International Institute of Management Consultants, he also holds an M.A. in Sanskrit and received his foundational training in Indian philosophy from the Chinmaya International Foundation under Dr. Gangadharan Nair of Adi Shankara Sanskrit University.
As a multifaceted professional, Dr. Pillai serves as Director at the SPM Foundation, and the Founder Director of Atma Darshan Pvt. Ltd. (a spiritual tourism company), and Chanakya Aanvikshiki Pvt. Ltd. (a leadership training and mentoring institute). He is also the Deputy Director of the Chanakya International Institute of Leadership Studies (CIILS), an autonomous institute at the University of Mumbai.
With nearly 25 years of professional and entrepreneurial experience, Dr. Pillai is a celebrated speaker and author who has represented India at several international forums, including the World Philosophy Congress (Athens), the Academy of Management (San Antonio, Texas), the Indian Philosophy Congress (IPC), and the Afro-Asian Philosophical Congress. He has conducted lectures and workshops worldwide, including in Germany, Singapore, the UK, and the Middle East. A prolific writer and communicator, he has published widely in newspapers, journals, and magazines, and formerly hosted Ask Chanakya on Worldspace Radio’s Moksha Channel.
