Dr. Usha Nagavarapu is a certified Integrative Ayurvedic practitioner with over 25 years of experience bridging modern science and traditional medicine. She holds a PhD in Pharmacology and Neuroscience from Ohio State University, with post-doctoral training in Dermatology from Stanford University. Throughout her career, she has worked extensively in drug discovery, toxicology, and clinical research, applying her deep scientific knowledge to holistic health and wellness.
As a faculty at HUA, Dr. Usha imparts her expertise in Ayurveda, integrative medicine, and plant-based therapeutics, training the next generation of practitioners in evidence-based approaches to wellness. Her work focuses on longevity, cellular senescence, and aging at the biological level, designing interventions that combine functional medicine with Ayurvedic principles. She specializes in personalized consultations, helping individuals restore balance and vitality through mindful living, nutrition, and botanical therapies.
At Surrasa, a science-led wellness brand grounded in nature and traditional medicine founded by Dr. Usha, she leads the creation of plant-based skincare and wellness solutions that support mind-body health. Under her guidance, Surrasa develops eco-conscious products that integrate Ayurvedic wisdom with modern pharmacology, offering holistic approaches to skin and overall wellness.
