About Our Unique Retreat
The Śrutiparicayaḥ-Kāvyanimajjanam is an immersive intensive contemplative and experiential retreat integrating Śruti(Vedic revelation) with Kāvyaśāstra(Sanskrit literary aesthetics). The retreat is centered on a deep study of Ṛgveda Maṇḍala 10, Sūkta 117 and the Śiva-Saṅkalpa Sūkta of the Yajurveda, while also offering a structured introduction to Kāvyaśāstra, the classical science of poetic expression and aesthetic experience.
The retreat combines textual study, aesthetic theory, and contemplative reflection. Participants are guided to experience the Veda not only as sacred revelation but also as powerfully crafted poetic speech, where meaning, sound, imagery, and intention converge. The retreat thus bridges ethical insight, inner cultivation, and aesthetic sensitivity, revealing śāstra as a living, integrated tradition.
