This Scholarship Fund is being created in the loving memory of my father

Shri M. Viswanathan

(August 15, 1931 – January 19, 2023)

He was a gentle, dignified, reserved, and graceful being during his life.

His own father i.e., my Grandfather was a pioneer in the field of Education, and set up and developed the Hindu College in Machilipatnam, Andhrapradesh in pre-independent India. My father was very supportive of my efforts to revive and rejuvenate the Hindu University of America.

His last words to me were – “I will pray for HUA”. 

This scholarship fund will support students in both the Continuing Education and Certificate Programs as well as Graduate Programs. It will be awarded on a need basis.
