Yoga of the Bhagavad Gita
Upcoming Webinar: Sunday, June 29, 2025, 8:00 am PT / 11:00 am ET / 8:30 pm IST

About the Webinar:
Can one be both deeply contemplative and powerfully active in the world? The Bhagavad Gita offers a profound answer through its unique integration of Nivritti Marga (inner withdrawal) and Pravritti Marga (dynamic engagement). Far from being a theoretical text, the Gita presents Yoga as a practical path for inner clarity, purposeful action, and spiritual liberation.
This is an invitation to reflect, realign, and renew your understanding of Yoga—not just as a discipline, but as a way of living.

The Yoga of the Bhagavad Gita
YOG2001 – This Course takes the Students into a Journey of Exploration of Yoga as enunciated in the Bhagavad Gītā. In contemporary times, both the Yoga Sūtras of Patañjali and the Bhagavad Gītā have gained popularity as key texts of Yoga. One of the unique contributions of the Bhagavad Gītā is the synthesis of Nivritti Marga (path of contemplation) and Pravritti Marga (path of dynamic activity) through Yoga. The teachings help us understand how deep meditation and excellence in action complement each other. We will explore the various systems of Yoga such as Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Dhyāna Yoga, Jñana yoga, etc., along with the key ideas underlying each system, as presented by the Bhagavad Gītā. We will also refer to related teachings from the Patañjali’s Yoga Sūtras.
