Luvena Krishnamurthy is a Yoga educator and Holistic Health Practitioner with a background in Medicine and teaching credentials in Ayurveda and Meditation. She comes with over 15 years of multinational corporate experience in Marketing, Operations & Customer Excellence in Aviation & Logistics. She is one of Bangalore’s leading Yoga Anatomy, Philosophy & Ethics educators with expertise in spinal conditions, physiological disorders, thyroid imbalances as well as psychosomatic influence. Luvena has delivered her popular monthly Focus Talk Series on health, wellness & yoga for the past 4 years and her unique programs on Ayurvedic lifestyle have been very well received.

Luvena has been initiated by Swami Satyasangananda Saraswati of Rikhiapeeth Ashram in the Dashanami Sannyasa tradition. Her teachers, mentors & friends along the path include Pradeep Sattwamaya, Swami Yogaratna Saraswati, Swami Dharmakeethi Saraswati, Pandit Vamadev Shastry, Yogini Shambhavi, Ravi Easwaran, & many others respected teachers. As Founder of The Curvy Yogi, she models inclusive and accessible yoga asana. Dedicated to continuous study under her teachers, Luvena is a student of Vedanta and is also engaged in a 5 year study of the Bhagavad Gita.

Luvena Krishnamurthy is a strong advocate for belonging and culture and is frequently invited as a fearless speaker and panelist on yoga philosophy, Indic culture, and appropriation. She is currently the State President of WICCI Karnataka Yoga Council and has received the Iconic Woman Leader Award from Women Economic Forum 2020.

Ayurveda – The Wisdom of Wellbeing

TAT1101 – This foundational course is designed to make the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda accessible to everyone in simple and effective interactive modules. Ayurveda, the indigenous wisdom of wellbeing derived from the Vedas, unfolds a consciousness-based paradigm that aims to maintain a balance between body, mind, and spirit, as a fundamental key to wellness, and keeping disease at bay. As the world prioritizes wellness and moves increasingly towards self-led choices towards health and wellbeing, Ayurveda has made a popular comeback. In this course, students will learn foundational principles of Ayurveda, how to make lifestyle adjustments that make a positive impact on their own lives, their families, community, and society.

Disease through the Lens of Ayurveda

TAT1102 – Ayurveda is a holistic and complete consciousness-based wellness paradigm that has its origins sourced straight from the timeless Vedas. One of its primary goals has been to eliminate the cause of pain and suffering of the human condition beginning with the knowledge of the self – both physically and spiritually. Ayurveda has a unique approach of observing the human being as conscious matter not just in health but also in distress, and illness. In this course, students will learn how common diseases and disorders are viewed and approached through Ayurveda in an intuitive yet systematic blend of philosophy, pharmacy and indigenous knowledge.
