Faculty – Community Education Division (Hindu Studies)
Shri. Sree Aswath serves on the Board of Overseers and as a faculty member in HUA’s Community Education division, where he draws upon his formal Vedic training, traditional Sanskrit learning, and over 30 years of teaching experience.
A retired systems analyst from the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities in Columbus, Ohio, he holds academic qualifications in physics, mathematics, law, and computer sciences. A Vedic scholar, he trained in Sanskrit under his grandfather, Śrī MSS Sastry, Vidwan of the Mysore Court, and underwent nine years of formal Yajur Veda training under Ācārya Ananthakrishna at Bangalore Sanskrit College.
Since 1995, he has been actively teaching Veda and Vedānta across the United States, offering classes in Sanskrit, Indian scriptures, and Vedic chanting. He conducts weekly study sessions in Columbus, OH, and has led workshops and seminars in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and India. His lectures span foundational texts such as the Bhagavad Gītā, Patañjali’s Yogasūtra, major Upaniṣads, and numerous Vedic hymns.
