The Genius of Hindu Astronomy
Open House
Recent Webinar: Monday, November 24, 2025, 5 pm PT / 8 pm ET / 6:30 am IST (Tue, Nov 25)
About the Webinar:
We invite you to a special open-house event that offers a window into the extraordinary world of Hindu astronomy as presented in the Genius of Hindu Astronomy Retreat. In this session you’ll have a chance to ask questions, meet the instructors, and discover how the ancient traditions of Gaṇita, Phalita Jyotiṣa interweave celestial science, time-keeping and spiritual insight. You will learn how the sages of India measured and mapped the sun, moon, planets and stars, and how those same patterns continue to inform our understanding of the cosmos today.
This webinar will allow you to explore the core features of the retreat: how we observe nakṣatras (fixed star groups), grahas (planets) and deep-sky objects through powerful telescopes under dark-sky conditions, how we interpret those observations through the lens of the Veda and Jyotiṣa, and how this knowledge opens a path to wonder, clarity and purpose. You’ll be introduced to our faculty and their passion for both ancient wisdom and modern science, hear about the hands-on stargazing experiences you’ll have, and get all your questions answered about schedule, accommodation, meals and cost.
Whether you are simply curious or ready to dive deep, this open-house is your chance to see whether the retreat is the right next step for you. Come with your curiosity, leave with inspiration and clarity about how ancient Indian astronomy can illuminate your life, your worldview and your connection to the vast universe.
