Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita – Proficiency III

SAN1043 – (CSBG – Required Course) The Third quarter of the Proficiency phase of Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita program focuses on the Bhagavad Gītā chapters 14 through 17. At the end of this course students will be able to apply the Saṃskṛtam concepts and grammar learnt in this course to perform Anvaya translations and articulate the meanings of the ślokas. This quarter will also offer the students an opportunity to articulate their views on how the teachings in chapters 14 through 17 of the Bhagavad Gītā are essential in the modern world.

Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita – Proficiency II

SAN1042 – (CSBG – Required Course) The Second quarter of the Proficiency phase of Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita program focuses on the Bhagavad Gītā chapters 11 through 13. At the end of this course students will be able to apply the Saṃskṛtam concepts and grammar learnt in this course to perform Anvaya translations and articulate the meanings of the ślokas. This quarter will also offer the students an opportunity to explain their views on the important concept of Viśwarūpadarśana in the Bhagavad Gītā.

Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita – Proficiency I

SAN1041 – (CSBG – Required Course) The First quarter of the fourth and final year (Proficiency phase) of the Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita program focuses on the Bhagavad Gītā chapters 6 through 10. At the end of this course students will be able to apply the Saṃskṛtam concepts and grammar learnt so far to perform Anvaya translations and articulate the meanings of the ślokas. This quarter will also entail an analysis of dhyāna and meditation in daily life.

Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita – Advanced IV

SAN1034 – (CSBG – Required Course) The Fourth and final quarter of the Advanced Phase of the Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita culminates the grammatical studies of this course. At the end of this final quarter, students will be able to demonstrate understanding and usage of the grammatical concepts of sannanta, kārakam and taddhita pratyaya. Additionally, students will be able to perform the anvaya translations from Chapter 5 and 6 of the Bhagavad Gītā, and explain how the concept of self-control as articulated in the Bhagavad Gītā plays a role in modern society.

Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita – Advanced III

SAN1033 – (CSBG – Required Course) The Third quarter of the Advanced Phase of Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita will introduce students to the concepts of samāsas in Saṃskṛtam. At the end of this course, students will be able to understand the apply the concepts of samāsas in their Saṃskṛtam communications. This quarter also focuses on Chapter 5 of the Bhagavad Gītā understanding the concepts illustrated through the ślokas.

Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita – Advanced II

SAN1032 – (CSBG – Required Course) The Second quarter of the Advanced Phase of Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita will continue to focus on more advanced grammatical concepts. At the end of this course the students, will be able to employ advanced concepts such as ṇatvam, ṇijantam, kṛtpratyaya, tarap-tamap and sati saptamī within their grammatical usage. This course will also continue to progress on the Bhagavad Gītā focusing on ślokas and concepts from Chapter 4 of the Bhagavad Gītā.

Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita – Advanced I

SAN1031 – (CSBG – Required Course) The First quarter of the Advanced Phase of Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita will introduce the students to more advanced grammar. At the end of this course, students will master the use of various Sandhi forms and apply them in their written communications. Students will also have a good understanding of the concepts and will be able to explain the meanings of ślokas in Chapter 4 of the Bhagavad Gītā in Saṃskṛtam.

Samskritam Through Bhagavad Gita – Intermediate III

SAN1023 - (CSBG – Required Course) The Third Quarter of the Intermediate Phase of the Bhagavad Gītā through Saṃskṛtam course expands the students' grammatical understanding and usage of passive voice. At the end of this course, students will be able to employ more complex Saṃskṛtam in their verbal and written communication through use of passive voice and conditional mood. Students will continue to examine the ślokas from Chapter 3 and 4 of the Bhagavad Gītā, compose the meanings in Saṃskṛtam and explain the underlying concepts from these ślokas
