About the Free Webinar:
The Sanskrit language stands at the heart of Hindu knowledge systems, serving as the gateway to profound traditions spanning philosophy, spirituality, literature, and science. From the Vedas and Upaniṣads to the Rāmāyaṇa, Mahābhārata, and the Prasthāna Traya, Sanskrit offers direct access to the source texts that have shaped human thought for millennia.
Join us for an in-depth introduction to the Master of Arts in Sanskrit program at Hindu University of America. This immersive program is designed to guide students from foundational proficiency to true mastery—empowering them to engage rigorously with original texts in their authentic form, without reliance on translation.
In this webinar, we will explore the structure and vision of the program, including its practice-oriented approach, its emphasis on Sanskrit-medium learning, and its role in preparing students to engage deeply with diverse knowledge systems such as Vedānta, Yoga, and Āyurveda. We will also discuss the academic pathway, including core and elective coursework, and the collaborative partnership supporting the program.
Whether you are a Sanskrit enthusiast, a student of Hindu thought, or someone seeking deeper engagement with primary sources, this session will offer valuable insight into how this program can support your intellectual and spiritual journey.
