Sanskrit is a language meant to be heard, spoken, and experienced. Participants will explore how Sanskrit sound is produced through correct pronunciation, breath control, rhythm, and listening. Through guided recitation, chanting, and visual cues, this webinar with Jenna Love Mleczkowski will demonstrate how sound and script work together in Sanskrit, offering a glimpse into Devanāgarī and the logic behind the Sanskrit alphabet. Attendees will also be introduced to the role of repetition, group recitation, and oral transmission in building clarity and accuracy.
This live webinar offers an experiential introduction to the sounds of Sanskrit and the traditional methods used to learn them with precision and confidence.
The session will conclude with an overview of HUA’s two-weekend live immersion course, Introduction to Sanskrit Sounds, designed for those who wish to go deeper through structured practice, personalized feedback, and a strong foundation for reading and further Sanskrit study. No prior knowledge of Sanskrit is required, this webinar is ideal for anyone curious about beginning Sanskrit the right way, from sound to script.
