AIH1102 - Nutrition360: Food is Medicine, is a community-focused course that introduces nutrition through an integrative framework combining modern nutritional science and Ayurvedic wisdom. Rooted in the Āhāra Krānti vision of “Uttama Āhāra, Uttama Vicāra” (Right Food, Right Thinking), the course empowers individuals and families to make informed dietary choices that support lifelong well-being. Participants explore the relationship between nutrition, digestion (agni), immunity, and disease prevention, while learning principles of balanced eating across different stages of life. The course also examines mindful eating, psychosocial influences on food habits, and the Ayurvedic understanding of incompatible foods (viruddha āhāra). By presenting food as both nourishment and medicine, the course fosters nutritional literacy, personal responsibility, and holistic approaches to health within families and communities.
