About the Free Webinar:
Interfaith marriages are becoming increasingly common across the world, bringing together people from different religious, cultural, and family traditions. While these relationships can be deeply enriching, they also present unique questions about identity, family expectations, religious practice, raising children, and navigating life together through every stage of marriage. How can couples build relationships rooted in mutual respect while honoring the traditions that have shaped them?
Join Hindu University of America for an engaging webinar introducing Challenges and Reconciliation in Interfaith Marriages, an innovative course taught by internationally recognized interfaith expert Dr. Dilip Amin. Drawing upon nearly two decades of experience counseling more than 1,300 individuals in interfaith relationships, the course examines marriages between Dharmic (Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, and Sikh) and Abrahamic (Jewish, Christian, and Muslim) traditions, while also exploring interracial and intrafaith relationships. Through real-world case studies, scriptural perspectives, lived experiences, and discussions of marriage and divorce laws across different countries, participants gain practical tools for navigating complex situations with wisdom and compassion.
Unlike a traditional lecture course, each weekly class is built around active discussion and respectful debate centered on real-life interfaith relationship scenarios. Students learn not only from the instructor but also from guest speakers who share their personal experiences in interfaith marriages and answer questions from participants. Each 90-minute instructional session is followed by an optional 30-minute discussion for those who wish to continue exploring the week’s themes in greater depth. Throughout the course, students examine questions that span the entire lifecycle of a relationship—from dating and engagement to marriage, raising children, family dynamics, and end-of-life considerations—while developing a deeper understanding of the religious, cultural, and social issues that shape these experiences.
The course is also designed to prepare participants to become thoughtful community resources for others navigating interfaith relationships. As a capstone project, students deliver a formal 30-minute public presentation to an audience of at least five people, demonstrating their ability to communicate these important ideas and apply them in real-world settings.
This is a complimentary webinar, thoughtfully curated to offer depth, clarity, and high-value insights—reflecting the quality of a premium learning experience.
