In this course students will be able to:
The course will focus on 30+ rivers with their identification in modern geography maps, description of 80+ Ṛgvedic divinities, 400+ Ṛṣis, 200+ kings, and60+ Ṛgvedic meters. The course will align Ṛgvedic chronology with the archaeology. Many events like Dāśarājña Battle, Vārṣāgira Battle, Battle of Sarayu, Battle of Yamunā, the migration of various clans and the deeds of the devatas will be covered in short. 60+ geographical maps detailing the Ṛgvedic Geography will be discussed.
The mandatory book to be purchased for the course-
There will be a minimum of 1.5 contact hour with the faculty every week. The class time will include 30 minutes that will provide an opportunity for Q&A and group discussion.
