This course provides a comprehensive exploration of the philosophical and spiritual framework of Integral Yoga laid out by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. The course begins with a journey through the evolution of the soul, focusing on developing its four major powers: Knowledge, Effective Power, Harmony, and Perfection. In each lifetime, the soul chooses to emphasize one of these powers to advance its growth, a choice known as its Swabhava, or unique soul-temperament. Participants will explore their own Swabhava and its outer expression, Swadharma, the true law of action. To support this awakening, we delve into the twelve transformative qualities of the soul and how they refine our consciousness into instruments of the Divine. By practicing the Triple Labor of aspiration, rejection, and surrender in daily life, seekers align their outer personality with their inner truth, paving the way for the Sunlit Path—where spiritual progress flows with joy and grace rather than ego-driven struggle. The journey also covers the Triple Transformation—Psychic, Spiritual, and Supramental—and examines reincarnation and the soul’s evolution through karma and rebirth, ultimately guiding our mental, emotional, and physical levels. A key focus is on Swabhava and Swadharma, followed by a two-week study of the 12 Soul Powers, essential verities for a soul-led life. The course concludes by applying these insights to Integral Education and daily practices, refining the senses, mind, and emotions.
The course consists of 10 weekly sessions, each lasting 90 minutes, culminating in a final exam during the 11th week. Students will have a dedicated 1.5 hours of contact time with the faculty each week. The class is carefully structured to facilitate effective learning in an online face-to-face format. The last 15-20 minutes will be allotted for Q and A session.
