About the Free Webinar:
Join Dr. Shriram Sarvotham for an insightful webinar introducing The Yoga of the Bhagavad Gita and exploring yoga not merely as practice, but as a comprehensive framework for living with clarity, purpose, and inner balance.
In the Bhagavad Gita, yoga is presented as a powerful synthesis of contemplation and action, bringing together Nivritti Marga (the inward path of reflection) and Pravritti Marga (the outward path of engaged living). This webinar will introduce how the Gita harmonizes these seemingly opposite paths, showing how deep meditation and excellence in action can complement one another in everyday life.
Through an overview of key yogic pathways like Karma Yoga (selfless action), Bhakti Yoga (devotion), Jñāna Yoga (knowledge), and Dhyāna Yoga (meditation), participants will gain insight into the Gita’s integrated vision of self-development and spiritual growth. The session will also highlight how these teachings address fundamental questions: What is the role of self-inquiry? How do we quiet the mind? How can we cultivate devotion while remaining fully engaged in the world?
Drawing from Dr. Sarvotham’s course on the same subject, this webinar will emphasize both philosophical understanding and practical application—touching on meditation, pranayama, and the discipline of sādhanā, along with guided engagement with selected verses of the Gita.
Whether you are new to the Bhagavad Gita or seeking a deeper, more structured understanding of its teachings, this session offers a meaningful entry point into one of the most profound yoga texts in the Hindu tradition—and a preview of the transformative journey offered through HUA’s course.
