Neha Kabra

Neha Kabra is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, educator, and wellness practitioner based in San Jose, California. She began her Ayurvedic journey in 2018 at the California College of Ayurveda, where she earned certifications as both an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist. Since completing her training and two internships, Neha has run her own private Ayurvedic practice since 2021, offering personalized wellness consultations, herbal medicine preparation, and holistic lifestyle guidance.

Course Learning Objectives

In this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the foundational Ayurvedic principles behind the use of oils for internal and external healing.
  • Identify oils best suited for individual prakriti (constitution) and seasonal changes (ritucharya).
  • Apply Ayurvedic oils confidently in cooking, self-massage, hair care, and aromatherapy.
  • Prepare customized oil blends for personal or family wellness needs.
  • Integrate Ayurvedic oil rituals into a sustainable daily and weekly self-care routine.

Course Content

Incorporating the right oils in daily life is deeply significant in Ayurveda, especially for preventing and managing age-related diseases. As we age, Vata dosha naturally increases, bringing qualities like dryness, brittleness, instability, and degeneration. Ayurvedic oils — rich in snigdha (unctuous), guru (heavy), and madhura (nourishing) qualities — counterbalance Vata, supporting lubrication, strength, and rejuvenation.

Class Structure

There will be a minimum of 1.5 contact hours with one or more faculty every week for 11 weeks.
The class is structured in a way that promotes interactive teaching, reference readings, discussion and debate. Interesting practical assignments to give hands on experience of Ayurveda . Each class will be comprised of 1 hour teaching and 30minutes for interaction on the topic. During the course, students will complete time to time assignments.
