Mr. N.V. Raghuram

Mr. N.V. Raghuram is the founder chairman and spiritual guide of Yoga Bharati USA, founder chairman of ‘Disha’ a non-profit organization for value-based education in schools and colleges in Bengaluru, a member of the board of advisors for Dhruva college of management, Hyderabad and a board member of Youth for Seva in Bengaluru. 

Shri N. V. Raghuram, from his early days, had a strong interest in Indian wisdom and spirituality which took him to several saints in the Himalayas and to institutions founded by the lineage of Sri Ramakrishna and Vivekananda. He has been involved in guiding people in the practice and assimilation of Yoga and Vedanta after initial training in Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, India. He is a founding member of the SVYASA Yoga University, Bengaluru along with his wife, Dr. Nagarathna, Medical Director of SVYASA and Dr. Nagendra, Chancellor of SVYASA. As an international coordinator of S Vyasa, he has traveled extensively, spreading the message and teaching of Yoga, Indian philosophy and culture by conducting yoga therapy courses, training programs, research projects, seminars and satsangs.   He has been part of the Indian delegation on Yoga, at the United Nations Conference in Uruguay and the World Health Organization in Switzerland.

Dr. Shrinivasa Varakhedi

Visiting Faculty

He is currently the Vice-chancellor of Kavikulaguru Kalidasa Samskrit University at Ramtek, Maharashtra. Previously he has served as the Dean, Śāstra Faculty and Director of Research and PG studies in Karnataka Samskrita University, Bengaluru. Formerly he was Director of Sanskrit Academy, a Research Institute funded by Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, Osmania University, Hyderabad.
He was educated in Vedic śāstras in the traditional gurukula system and he completed his doctoral research in Nyāya-śāstra and computational linguistics. His dynamism in academic scholarship as well as in administrative capacities is noteworthy.

He has held significant positions in Samskrita-Bharati for several years. There are several papers, books, articles, and projects to his credit and he has guided many research scholars in M. Phil. and Ph.D. in the subjects of Nyāya, Vedānta and Computational Linguistics.

He received the Maharshi Badarayan Vyas Samman – an award given by the President of India, in 2008 and Swami Chinmayananda Gold medal in 2013. He adorns the Board of Studies at Maharashtra Institute of Technology, School of Vedic Sciences (MIT SVS) and is a mentor.
