Dr. Yelloji Mirajkar

Dr. Yelloji Mirajkar, has a PhD. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, and did his Post-Doctoral work at Columbia University, New York. He has had a career in Research and Development, Colgate-Palmolive Company, and has several patents to his credit. 

His expertise is in the area interactions among surfactants, polymers and actives in formulations and solutions from the view point of delivery and post-delivery performances of Actives, Fragrances and Flavors. Yelloji Mirajkar was formerly an Executive Director and Member of National Team, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, USA, Inc.

Shri. Saumitra Gokhale

Shri. Saumitra Gokhale is the Global Coordinator for the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, a movement that promotes practicing of Hindu values for the well-being of humanity. After getting a Master’s degree in Engineering he became a pracharak of RSS in India in 1995 and later became a dedicated worker of the HSS. Based in the United States, he travels worldwide for the work of Hindu society and humanity.

Saumitra is on the advisory board of Sewa International, a Hindu faith-based humanitarian nonprofit and, International Center for Cultural Studies, an organization that facilitates the revitalization of diverse ancient traditions and cultures of the world.

Param Pujay Swami Chidananda Swami

Param Pujya Swami Chidananda Puri  is the founder of Advaitashramam in Kolathur in Kerala, and the Founder and Managing Trustee of Sanatana Dharma Seva Trust, an organization to spread Sanatana Dharma and Vedanta.

He accepted Sannyasa Deeksha on Mahasivarathri Day of 1989 from Brahmaleena Parama Poojya Swami Vidyananda Giri Maharaj (Kailasashramam, Rishikesh) and studied under Siksha Guru Brahmaleena Parama Pujya Swami Vimalananda Puri Maharaj from Madhavanandashramam, Ahmedabad, Gujarat).He is also the Founder and Managing Trustee of Sri Sankara Charitable Trust, an organization dedicated to the service of society in socio-cultural fields.

Dr. Kalpalatha (Kay) Guntupalli

Member – Board of Trustees

Dr. Kalpalatha Guntupalli serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees at the Hindu University of America and is an endowed Professor of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston. She earned her medical degree from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad, and after immigrating to the United States, specialized in internal medicine, pulmonary diseases, and critical care medicine.

Dr. Guntupalli has held faculty positions at the University of Pittsburgh and Emory University, establishing herself as a leader in academic medicine. In 1999, she became the first woman to serve as President of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin. She later served as President of the American College of Chest Physicians in 2010. She was also a member of the Critical Care Board of the American Board of Internal Medicine for six years.

A respected clinician-scientist, Dr. Guntupalli’s research focuses on acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and medical education. She has secured numerous research grants and has authored more than 150 scientific publications. Her distinguished career reflects decades of leadership, scholarship, and service in advancing pulmonary and critical care medicine.

Dr. Bharat Barai

Dr. Bharat Barai is currently Medical Director of the Cancer Institute, Methodist Hospitals, Clinical Asst. Professor of Medicine at Indiana University Medical School, Secretary and former President of the Medical Licensing Board of the State of Indiana (since year 2000).

He obtained his MD in Medicine (University of Illinois), MD in Medical Oncology (Northwestern University Med School), and MD in Hematology (Rush University Medical School). He has been the President of the Medical Staff, Chairman of the Medical Executive Committee, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Methodist Hospitals. He also serves on the advisory board of the Indiana University School of Business. He also serves on the Medical Advisory Panels for US Senators and Congressmen.

Shri Sree Aswath

Faculty – Community Education Division (Hindu Studies)

Shri. Sree Aswath serves on the Board of Overseers and as a faculty member in HUA’s Community Education division, where he draws upon his formal Vedic training, traditional Sanskrit learning, and over 30 years of teaching experience.

A retired systems analyst from the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities in Columbus, Ohio, he holds academic qualifications in physics, mathematics, law, and computer sciences. A Vedic scholar, he trained in Sanskrit under his grandfather, Śrī MSS Sastry, Vidwan of the Mysore Court, and underwent nine years of formal Yajur Veda training under Ācārya Ananthakrishna at Bangalore Sanskrit College.

Since 1995, he has been actively teaching Veda and Vedānta across the United States, offering classes in Sanskrit, Indian scriptures, and Vedic chanting. He conducts weekly study sessions in Columbus, OH, and has led workshops and seminars in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and India. His lectures span foundational texts such as the Bhagavad Gītā, Patañjali’s Yogasūtra, major Upaniṣads, and numerous Vedic hymns.

Pradeep Goyal

Founder Chairman & MD, Pradeep Metals Limited

Shri Pradeep Goyal is the Founder Chairman and Managing Director of Pradeep Metals Limited, based in Mumbai, that specializes in Metals and Forgings. Presently, he oversees business strategy, innovation, global marketing and internal policies for the company.

He completed his B Tech in Metallurgical Engineering at IIT Kanpur in 1978, graduating with the First Rank, and was awarded a silver medal by the President of India. He obtained his Master’s degree in Material Science & Engineering from M.I.T., Cambridge, USA. He acquired advanced training in heat treatment techniques, design, manufacture, and commissioning of furnaces at Degussa International, West Germany.

Ms. Nivedita Bhide

Nivedita Raghunath Bhide is the All India Vice President of the Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari.  She has written over 15 Books, presented papers in National and International seminars, and given lectures in IITs and Universities, including Kansas University in the USA.

Her responsibilities include Training of Jeevanvratis (dedicated full-time workers of Vivekananda Kendra) Training of the teachers of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas and Co-ordination of Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Guwahati.

Nivedita Raghunath Bhide has represented India in Seminar on Swami Vivekananda conducted by ICCR in 2013 at Melbourne, Australia. She also participated in the In the International Meeting of Educational Experts at Darwin, Australia convened by UNESCO for the Asia-Pacific region in 1999.

Shrinarayan Chandak obtained B. Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Madras, India’s leading technology institute, in 1965 and a Master’s Degree from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago in 1967. Has 40 years of American Corporate experience in Technology and Management. A lifetime student of Bhagavat Gita and Ramayan.

Mr. Shrinarayan Shivabakas Chandak is a Vice President, Hindu Swayam Sevak Sangh (HSS), Midwest USA. Member of the Sunset Rotary Club of Bloomington. National past President of the MMNA, Maheshwari Mahasabha of North America. Past Board member Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America. A member of Bloomington interfaith- book club. Founding trustee of the Hindu Temple of Bloomington, IL.

Conducts motivational workshops on Organization, Education, Leadership, and Communication. Founded Holistic Self Development Program, called G-LIFE designed for High School students. Conducted 8 Teachers training conferences in different cities in Bharat, in person and via webinar covering 800 teachers. I also conducted several workshops with students. Created a group of schools and training volunteers. A similar program to be offered to University students soon. Contemplating doing similar work in the USA with different American ethnic groups.

Past Lt. Governor of the Toastmasters International, Chicago Region’s South Division; overseeing 30 clubs. Toastmasters International  promotes communication and leadership. Advisory board member of Sewa International, USA and Ekal Foundation, USA. For the last decade, spent 4 months a year in India doing social work, mainly concerning Education, holistic development and volunteerism. Shrinarayan Shivabakas Chandak and his wife Asha, settled in USA for the last 55 years with two daughters and five grandchildren.

Ms. Rani Kumra

Rani Kumra is among the most celebrated mystics and spiritual masters of modern times. Over the years she has helped many Individuals to experience positive transformation in their lives, relief from stress and relationship problems etc. Thousands of people have attended her workshops in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Italy.

For many years Rani was the leader of the Oneness Movement in North America and served on the Board of Directors of the Foundation For World Awakening, a spiritual organization. Through her work she raised millions of dollars for 6000 acres of land, the construction of the Oneness Temple, Oneness University, and hostels. She served as a Board member of the Sunnyvale Hindu Temple and was one of the key members of the fundraising committee for its construction.

Rani Kumra holds a Masters Degree from India and earned her teaching credentials from UC Irvine. She also is a Resource Specialist through San Jose State University. She taught for many years and later quit her teaching profession to work with a spiritual organization.

She currently serves on the board of Dharma Civilization Foundation and has a deep appreciation for the Vedanta teachings. They transformed her life and she wants others to experience the same so that their lives will be transformed as well. She also volunteered with Seva international on many projects such as fires in Nepa, educating kids in rural areas in India and Covid 19 projects in the Bayarea.

Dr. Sree Sreenath

Sree N. Sreenath, Ph.D., MBA (Nonprofit), is a tenured full professor in the Electrical, Computer & Systems Engineering Department at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio.

He has served as the Director of Case GEMNI (Graduate Engineering & Management National and International) Program. His research and educational interests are in complexity, with applications in Systems Biology (leukemia, prostate cancer, and hydrocephalus), Global Issues, and, Sustainable Development. Sree N. Sreenath served as the Co-Director of UNESCO GENIe Program – an international network of educational institutions (1996-2006), and as the Director of the Complex Systems Biology Center (2007-2016) at Case. He consults with many developing countries on issues of water, energy, and policy. He has also served as the President of SEWA International for many years.

Dr. Ushakant Thakkar

Dr. Ushakant Thakkar is a kidney specialist living in Los Angeles with his wife Irma, a kidney specialist herself. He is the founder of California Kidney Group, one of the largest kidney specialty groups in southern California. In addition to medical practice he is involved in multiple businesses involving Kidney Dialysis centers, Real estate, Metal molding, Arts etc. At its peak, he employed 50 Kidney specialists and over 500 employees.

Together  with his wife they have supported many charities including Ekal Vidyalaya, Pratham, Mothers against Drunk driving, Gun control initiatives, Free Medical Clinic, Simi Valley Hospital Foundation, Leela Dance Institute and Dharma Civilization Foundation to name a few. He served as Chairman of the Board of DCF, for over 5 years. His biggest passion is Education and his motherland, India.
